I've owned this one sweatshirt for over a decade. Bought it on vacation. Shrunk first time I washed it, over a decade ago. It's been hanging in my closet ever since. I haven't worn it but every few years I try and wear it only to remember it is too small.
But I was emotionally attached to this thing. So what? It was worthless to me. So with some reluctance I put that shirt in a bag marked for donations this week. A decade too late. But no time is like the present to start your declutter. What's the longest item you held onto before purging it?
